If she can dance, she can dish
I couldn't resist asking "Dancing with the Stars" alum Lisa Rinna "What are you wearing?" at Oscar de la Renta's star-studded Women's Cancer Research Fund benefit at his new Melrose Place boutique. She'll be asking everyone that when she replaces Joan and Melissa Rivers as TV Guide Channel's arbiter of style on the awards season carpets. One could almost hear actresses all over Hollywood - like Munchkins in "The Wizard of Oz" after that house dropped on you-know-who - singing "Ding Dong, the B----h is dead!" when they heard the news about Joan's fall from fashion favor yesterday. "It all happened very fast," Lisa whispered. Her first gig? The Emmy red rug on September 16. So is she nervous? "No, not yet. But I probably will be nervous as it gets closer. Joan and Melissa are a tough act to follow. I definitely can never fill their shoes." Hopefully not. That would mean that she'd get star's names and/or films wrong constantly and have no clue about awards fashion trends. I have no doubt Lisa will do just fine in her new red carpet fashion gig. Hey, if she can learn to dance, she can learn to gush about gowns. Repeat after me: "You look amaaazing. That dress is faaabulous." See? It's easy. Besides, she's already got more celebrity fashion sense than Joan and Melissa put together. She has two Belle Gray boutiques, in Sherman Oaks and Calabasas, that sell funky designer dresses and sportswear such as Juicy Couture, Citizens of Humanity, etc. You can even shop her website by designer OR by celebrities wearing the designer. My God, the girl's a natural. Oh, and her dress designer? "Calvin Klein." Faaabulous. Photo Credits: Lisa Rinna wore
Calvin, not Oscar to de la Renta's big bash last night. "I like
to mix it up," she explained. What a fashion rebel. Posted by ESNEAD on April 19, 2007 http://stylescenes.latimes.com/fashion/2007/04/i_had_to_ask_da.html |
